Why the Lesaruss Project Matters to Me
The Lesaruss Project is not just an idea I came up with. It is how I have been living my own life for years.
Back in 2008, I gave myself a personal challenge to lose weight. At that time, I weighed 230 pounds. Over the course of several months, I dropped down to 176. It was the first time I had achieved such a significant transformation. I had tools, resources, and systems that worked. What I didn’t have was community. I was doing it alone, and that made it hard to sustain the results long term.
Fast forward to 2017, and I stepped into another major shift. This time, I joined an accountability program that introduced me to the world of transformation. I set a goal to leave my full-time job and become a full-time entrepreneur, something I had been holding back on for more than ten years. That program gave me a sense of accountability and community. I saw firsthand how powerful it is to grow alongside others. I eventually became a trainer, coached others, and immersed myself in transformational work.
But something was still missing. While the community and accountability were life-changing, the framework wasn’t fully mine. The tools worked as long as I was plugged into that specific environment. Once I stepped outside of it, the structure wasn’t there to carry me forward.
What I Learned
Looking back, those two chapters taught me the same lesson from different angles. In 2008, I had systems and resources, but no community. In 2017, I had community and accountability, but no framework I could sustain independently.
What I am building now is the bridge between the two. The 111 Day Challenge combines both structure and community in a way that is simple, sustainable, and repeatable. The Lesaruss Project is the culmination of everything I have learned so far. It is the combination of my personal health journey, my experience in transformational work, and my lifelong commitment to community building.
